Brief Description of Research Project |
A group of 30 home school grade and high school students will be hosted within the Rail Transportation and Engineering Center (RailTEC) in April 2012. These students will be provided with two key opportunities during their visit. First, they will be provided with tailored lecture material that focuses both on the systems and infrastructure elements of railway engineering. Secondly, the students will be able to be toured around the engineering laboratories at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Laboratories focus on all elements of civil engineering, including rail engineering.
